Fashion stylist and wardrobe consultant, Olivia prefers the initial meeting
with her clients to be at their homes so that
she can assess their lifestyle as well as their
wardrobe.
Often clients panic and discard most of their
old clothes before she arrives, so she always
asks them not to do so, as very often a new
look can be created using existing items and
matching them differently.
In order to analyse a client’s wardrobe
and style, Olivia establishes a personal profile
which is based on age, size, shape, skin tone,
hair colour, likes and dislikes, and many other
factors, but also budget, shops used, social
engagements, travelling, children, work environment,
gathering as much information possible in order
to compile a wardrobe to the client’s
lifestyle
Olivia stresses that Trinny and Susannah’s
“hands-on style”, as seen in the
BBC series “What Not to Wear”, is
not one that she would enjoy herself and, although
she is very honest in her opinion, she is not
rude – despite being French!
Arriving at an ideal wardrobe is a process
that is not instantaneous but is achieved over
a period of time allowing the client to gain
and develop that new-found confidence.
